Cucumber Carrot Kosambari

Ingredients to make Cucumber Carrot Kosambari

  • green gram dal- 1/2 cup
  • Grated carrot- 1/2 cup
  • Chopped cucumber- 1/2 cup
  • salt- as per taste
  • pepper- 1 tbsp
  • lemon juice- 1 tsp

How to make Cucumber Carrot Kosambari

  1. Soak the green gram dal in water for 20 to 25 minutes (till soft)
  2. Chop the cucumber
  3. Grate the carrot
  4. In a bowl add cucumber, carrot and soaked dal.
  5. Add salt and pepper.
  6. Squeeze in lime juice, mix well. Serve immediately
  7. Traditional kosambari ready to eat.

My Tip:

If you like you can add grated coconut. If you want the dal to be crunch soak only for 15 minutes.
