ABOUT Paneer capsicum cooked in yogurt RECIPE

Very easy and quick recipe to cook at the same time very healthy and tasty too. Tangy taste of yogurt will increase the taste and softness of paneer.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For curd marination -
  2. Cottage cheese (paneer) 400 gram
  3. Yoghurt or thick curd 1/2 cup
  4. Salt to taste or 1/4 teaspoon
  5. Red chilli powder
  6. Bhuna jeera powder 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Pepper powder 1/8 teaspoon or to taste
  9. Mixed dried herbs 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  10. For the capsicum and cottage cheese thick gravy-
  11. Oil 2 table spoon
  12. Cinnamon stick 1/2 inch
  13. Bay leaf 1 number
  14. Chopped onion 1 number
  15. Green chilli chopped 1 or 2
  16. Garlic and ginger paste 1 teaspoon
  17. Chopped tomato 1 number
  18. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  19. Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
  20. Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  21. Chopped coriander 1 tablespoon
  22. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Taka a bowl add in pieces of cottage cheese, yogurt, salt, red chilli powder, 1/2 of garam masala powder, bhuna jeera powder, mixed dried herbs, black pepper powder, green cardamom powder.
  2. Mix everything properly with your light hands.
  3. Keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  4. Now heat oil in a kadai, add in bay leaf, 1/2 inch cinnamon stick .
  5. After 20 seconds addin finely chopped onions, fry until golden brown.
  6. Addin ginger garlic paste fry until raw smell goes.
  7. Add in chopped tomatoes and little salt saute till tomatoes turn soft.
  8. Now add in all the dry masala cook until oil separates from the masala.
  9. Add in cut capsicum and fry until capsicums raw smell goes.
  10. Now addin marinated cottage cheese.
  11. Fry for some time till you can see oil start separating from masala.
  12. Add some garam masala, chopped coriander and serve hot with chapati or paratha .
