My favourite snack!
Soak dal for at least 5-6hours (better if soak overnight)
Grind them in a mixture to smooth fluffy batter. Add cumin and asafoetida before grinding
It should be fluffy and not grainy
Take it in a bowl, add salt
Stir the batter for minute till it's light and fluffy
In a kadai heat oil, make vadas with hand, fry them till golden brown
Add vadas in water for 10-15 minutes .
Flatten vadas with palm. Add beaten curd, jeera, methi powder, tamarind chutney, red chilli powder and salt.
Garnish with coriander leaves
