Khajoor or dates-tamarind chutney tastes sweet & tangy and goes well with any type of chaat or samosas.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. dates desseded 1 cup
  2. tamarind 1/4 cup
  3. jaggery 1/4 cup
  4. coriander seeds powder 1 1/2 tsp
  5. cumin seeds powder 3/4 tsp
  6. red chilly powder as per taste
  7. salt to taste


  1. Soak Khajoor/dates in lukewarm water for 10 minutes.
  2. Soak tamarind in water for 5 minutes.
  3. Squeeze tamarind in water.
  4. Transfer dates and tamarind pulp with all ingredients mentioned to a grinder jar and grind nicely to a fine paste.
  5. Take paste into a bowl. Chutney is ready to serve.
