ABOUT Moringa Podi RECIPE

This dried masala powder enhances the taste of rice dishes with all goodness of the plant which comes under the category of super foods.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Moringa leaves - 1 cup
  2. Baby Drumsticks - 4cups (washed n chopped)
  3. Fenugreek powder - 1tsp
  4. Red chilli powder - 1tbsp
  5. Turmeric powder - 1tbsp
  6. Asafoetida - 2tsp
  7. Mustard seeds - 4tsp
  8. Salt - 11/2 tbsp
  9. Mustard oil - 150 ml

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil till it smokes then add all ingredients except drumsticks and moringa leaves. Turn off the gas.
  2. Add drumsticks and moniga leaves and stir well to properly coat them with the spices.
  3. Now spread this mixture over the paper towel and place it in sunlight for 4-5 days to make them crisp.
  4. After 5-6 days grind this to a powder and enjoy the podi with dal chawal, sambhar - idli or lemon rice.
