ABOUT Dum Aloo Methi RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Potatoes - 2 big (peeled, cubed and boiled)
  2. Onions - 1 big
  3. Tomatoes - 1 medium
  4. Oil - 2 tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Turmeric powder a pinch
  7. Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  9. Dried Kasuri methi - 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes and keep them aside.
  2. In a pan add oil, onions and saute them till they become translucent. Add salt and ginger garlic paste, saute till raw flavor is gone. Add all powder spices and saute it for a minute at low flame.
  3. Add tomatoes and fry them till they become mushy. Add dried methi leaves and potatoes, let them cook on low flame for a minute.
  4. Add half a cup of water and cook till the gravy reaches desired thickness. Turn off the flame and serve it hot either with rice or roti.
