Potato Crispy

Ingredients to make Potato Crispy

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1/4 Cup semolina or Suji
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Garam masala - 1tsp
  • lemon juice - 1tbsp
  • Chopped coriandar leaves - 2tbsp
  • 2 Large (pinches) turmeric Powder
  • salt to taste
  • oil for pan frying

How to make Potato Crispy

  1. Wash, peel the potatoes and slice them into thin slices (about 1/6" thick).
  2. After all potatoes are sliced, add salt, lemon juice, garam masala, red chilli powder and finely chopped coriander. Mix well.
  3. Keep aside for 5-7 minutes for marination.
  4. Add some oil in a pan and spread on the whole surface.
  5. Turn the heat down to low-medium.
  6. Take a semolina or suji in a plate.
  7. Take a few slices of potato and Place them onto the semolina. Ensure that both sides of the potato slices are well-coated.
  8. Place the potato slices on the tava and let them fry till the face touching the pan starts to brown.
  9. Flip the potato slices over. Drizzle a few drops of oil in the pan, if required.
  10. Continue to pan-fry them till the flip slices start to brown.
  11. Repeat till all the potato slices are fried.
  12. Serve hot with sauce or dip.
