These noodle like sev are very tasty and crispy , and are a great snack that when you start munching its often difficult to stop.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Besan2cups
  2. Oil 3tablespoon
  3. Red chilli powder1/2tsp
  4. Black pepper1/4tsp
  5. Turmeric powder1/2tsp
  6. Panipoori masala 1tbsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Carrom seeds crushed 1/2tsp
  9. oil to fry
  10. Sev maker
  11. Luke warm water 1/2cup
  12. Asafoetida 2pinches


  1. Mix all ingredients together ,besan oil ,masala ,panipoori masala ,salt and mix well
  2. Add water slowly into and make a soft smooth dough with oiled palm knead the dough well. .cover the dough and allow to rest for 20min.
  3. Grease the sev maker, place dough in the cylinder of sev maker and close the lid
  4. Meanwhile heat oil in a heavy bottomed kadhai, oil should be moderately hot not too much.
  5. Now hold the sev maker over frying pan press the handle , sev will start coming out in to the oil , as sev coming out move slowly the sev maker in the circular motion.
  6. As you complete one circle stop .fry both sides till they become light golden brown.
  7. Your sev is ready .take them out over a paper towel.and repeat the sane process for remaining dough.
  8. Let the sev cool completely, as it cools .they will become crispy. Break sev lightly with your hand and sev is ready to served.
