Super soft and tomato flavoured dhokhla.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rava ( suji)- 1cup
  2. Curd -1/2 cup
  3. Thick tomato puree- 1 1/2cup
  4. Chopped green chillies - 1 tsp
  5. Crush ginger -1tsp
  6. Oil - 3 tbsp
  7. Baking soda - 1 tsp
  8. Kasmiri red chilly powder - 2 tsp
  9. Sugar - 1 tsp
  10. Pinch of hing
  11. salt as per taste
  12. Mustard seeds - 1tsp
  13. coriander leaves- 1tbsp
  14. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Mix curd, salt, ginger, green chillies, turmeric powder, red kasmiri chilly powder, 1 tbsp oil and tomato puree, sugar with rava . Blended well and keep for 15 minutes.
  2. After 15 minutes batter becomes thick.
  3. Add little water to make batter is in pouring consistency.
  4. Add baking soda in the batter and blend well.
  5. Pour batter into greased dish and steamed for 15 minutes
  6. Heat oil add mustard seeds, whole green chillies, few curry leaves and pinch of hing.
  7. Pour tadka on the steamed dhokla and sprinkle chopped coriander.
  8. Cut and serve hot with chutney.
