Ingredients to make Naan

  • 4 cups of flour (maida)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • salt as required
  • 2/5 tablespoons curd
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon oil

How to make Naan

  1. Mix all the ingredients and knead to make a smooth dough.
  2. Cover with a wet cloth and keep for half an hour.
  3. Knead again with some oil and keep it for 15 minutes.
  4. Take medium size ball and roll into the shape of naan.
  5. Now take a tawa and heat it and bake both side of the naan for sometime.
  6. Now place the naan on the fire using a tong and cook both side until it becomes slightly brown and charred.
  7. Now remove the naan and apply some butter, ghee or oil or one can have plain also.
  8. Now serve.
