Ingredients to make Spring onion masala

  • spring onions-2 cups(chopped)
  • tomato-1
  • Gingee garlic and green chilli paste-1 tsp
  • cumin Seeds-1 tsp
  • turmeric-1/4 tsp
  • Red chilli powder-1 tsp
  • coriander Powder-1 tsp
  • cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala-1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • coriander for garnishing

How to make Spring onion masala

  1. Take oil in a pan.Heat and add cumin seeds.
  2. Add ginger,garlic and chilli paste.
  3. Saute for 30 seconds and add finely chopped tomatoes.
  4. Cover and cook for a minute.
  5. When tomatoes become soft add all spices and salt.
  6. Mix and cook for a minute.
  7. Add chopped spring onions(whites and greens).
  8. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes and your vegetable is ready to be served with hot rotis or as a side dish with dal rice.
