ABOUT Jeera Pepper Chicken RECIPE

Simple side dish WITHOUT onions, oil and garlic. Goes well with rasam, curd rice, dal rice. Very few ingredients used but tastes superb.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 500 gms chicken
  2. Salt as required
  3. 1 teaspoon jeera
  4. 3 teaspoons pepper
  5. Lot of coriander leaves
  6. Water to cook the chicken


  1. In a pan dry roast jeera until it splutters. Cool it. Make a fine powder of it.
  2. In the same pan dry roast pepper corns. Cool it. Make a fine powder of it as well.
  3. In a pan add in washed and cleaned chicken. Fry until all the water which the chicken leaves is evaporated completely.
  4. Now add jeera powder, pepper powder and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add in sufficient water and cook the chicken till tender.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked to 80%, add in lot of finely chopped coriander leaves. Mix well. Continue to cook till done and serve hot.
