ABOUT Pepper Jeera Poha RECIPE

Usually my mom prepares pepper jeera rice for lunch when we have no time to prepare sambar and rasam. Today i need to prepare quick breakfast with poha. So i thought why not make pepper and jeera fry poha. Its easy and good to have on rainy days.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Poha 1 cup
  2. Ghee / oil
  3. Mustard 1/4 tsp
  4. Cashew 5-10
  5. dry grapes few
  6. Roasted peanuts 2 tbsp
  7. Pepper 1 tsp
  8. Jeera 1 tsp
  9. curry leaves few
  10. Hing a pinch
  11. Salt to taste


  1. Soak Poha in water for 5 mins and drain in completely. I have used thick Poha
  2. Heat Ghee. Add Mustard. When it cracks add cashews, dry grapes, roasted peanuts, curry leaves and 2 red chillies.
  3. Add Crushed Pepper and Jeera. Saute. Add Hing and Salt.
  4. Add Soaked Poha. Saute for 5 mins
  5. Pepper Jeera Poha ready to serve
