Fried Chicken

Ingredients to make Fried Chicken

  • chicken marination:
  • chicken- 500 gm (large pieces)
  • Milk- 3/4 cup
  • vinegar or lemon juice- 1 tsp
  • Paprika powder- 1 tbsp
  • red chilly powder- 1 tsp
  • mustard paste- 1 tbsp
  • salt- to taste
  • Black pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
  • cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Red food color- a pinch
  • For coating:
  • Plain flour or maida- 2 cups
  • salt- to taste
  • egg- 1
  • Black pepper powder- 1/2 tsp
  • salt- a pinch
  • Chat masala- as per need

How to make Fried Chicken

  1. In a mixing bowl add milk and vinegar or lime juice. Mix it. Leave it for few minutes.
  2. In this liquid mixture add above mentioned marinating items- salt, paprika powder, red chilly powder, mustard paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, black pepper, ginger garlic paste & food color. Mix it well.
  3. Add chicken pieces in it. Mix it well. Keep it in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours.
  4. Now in a bowl beat one egg. Add salt & black pepper.
  5. In other plate add flour mix with salt.
  6. Now take one chicken piece. Dip it in the flour mixture then in egg mix... Then again in flour. Repeat this again.
  7. Do the same thing with all chickens. Keep it in the refrigerator for five minutes.
  8. Heat oil in a karahi. Deep fry chickens on a medium low flame. Cook till its golden in color.
  9. Sprinkle some chat masala on it & enjoy.

My Tip:

You can use buttermilk instead of milk & vinegar.
