Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Rice flour 2 cup
  2. Urad mogar dal 1 cup
  3. Chopped onion 2-3 big sizes
  4. Chopped tomatoes 2 cup
  5. Grated carrots 1 teaspoon as per uttapam
  6. Garam masala for garnishing
  7. Salt as per need


  1. Soak urad dal for 2 hours. Now mix rice flour. Prepare batter, add 1 teaspoon soda and keep it overnight for fermentation. Add salt.
  2. Now add chopped onion, tomato, grated carrots, green chilli.
  3. Prepare peanut chatney. First roast 1 bowl peanuts. In frying pan add oil and all spices, half tomato, half onion, salt and do stir fry. Add above fried material to roasted peanut in mixer jar. Just add little bit water to grind for chutney.
  4. Now take dosa pan. Spread batter. From top add some tomato, onion (chopped ), grated carrots and pour garam masala from top.
  5. Now just spread 1 teaspoon oil to all sides and cover it for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Then do opposite ( upside down) for roasting on the top side.
  7. Now spicy masala uttapam is ready to serve with peanut chatney.
