ABOUT Veg Cheese Frankie RECIPE

This healthy frankie made from whole wheat flour,vegetables and cheese will be loved by kids.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For rotis:
  2. Wheat flour-1 cup
  3. Salt-1/2 tsp
  4. Oil-1/2 tsp
  5. For stuffing:
  6. Potatoes-5(boiled)
  7. Carrots-1/4 cup
  8. Capsicum-1/4 cup
  9. Ginger,garlic and green chilli paste-1 tsp
  10. Coriander-1 tbsp
  11. salt
  12. Turmeric-1/4 tsp
  13. chilli powder-1/4 tsp
  14. Frankie masala-1 tsp
  15. Other Ingredients:-
  16. Chopped onions-1 cup
  17. Green chutney-4 tbsp
  18. Grated cheese-1 cup
  19. vinegar with greeb chillies-2 tbsp
  20. Frankie masala-1 tbsp


  1. Knead a dough with wheat flour,salt ,oil and water.Cover and keep aside.
  2. Now take ingredients for stuffing.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.Add ginger garlic green chilli paste.Saute for 30 seconds.
  4. Add chopped carrot.Saute for a minute.
  5. Add chopped capsicum.Saute for a minute.
  6. Add spices and salt.
  7. Add potatoes and coriander.Mix andmash properly.
  8. The stuffing is ready.Let it cool.
  9. Now roll out thin rotis from the dough and semi cook on a hot pan without oil.We don't want brown spots at this stage.
  10. Make elongated rolls from stuffing and put on oiled tawa.Roast them brownfrom both sides.
  11. Nowto assemble the frankie take a roti.Keep a stuffing roll on it.
  12. Apply chutney,then chopped onions.
  13. Put vinegar with green chillies all over.
  14. Then sprinkle frankie masala and lastly grated cheese.
  15. Roll and wrap in an aluminium foil or tissue and serve to your kids.
