ABOUT Cheesy Paneer-o-veg Frankie RECIPE

This is really delicious snack dish. Addition of various vegetables gives nutients and vitamins and use of paneer gives this dish a good protien content into it. This is good for kids as it is not spicy. Use of cheese covers spiciness of chilly sauce and red chilly powder used in it. I learnt this recipie from youtube videos. The outer wraps or rotis are made from 75% whole wheat flour and 25% All purpose flour as it is specially made for kids. I have little twisted the original recipie to give a perfect dish for kidos!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For Making Rotis:-
  2. Whole wheat flour 1 and 1/2 cup
  3. All purpose flour 1/2 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1 Teaspoon oil
  6. For making filling content:-
  7. Paneer nearly 1 cup ( i used home made)
  8. Onion -2 ( long and thin cutting)
  9. Cabbage -1/2 ball ( long and thin cutting)
  10. Tomato -2 (Finely chopped)
  11. Capsicum -1 (chopped in small square pieces)
  12. Carrot -1 ( chopped in small square pieces)
  13. Coriander leaves
  14. Funfoods pasta and pizza sauce -2 teaspoon
  15. Funfoods carrot and cucumber spread -2 teaspoon
  16. Oil 1/2 teaspoon
  17. Butter 2 teaspoon
  18. Green chilly sauce 1 teaspoon
  19. Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  20. Salt to taste
  21. For Assembling Frankie we need :-
  22. Rotis
  23. Grated cheese
  24. Finely chopped onion
  25. Prepared Stuffing
  26. Aluminium foil to cover the frankie

Instructions

  1. For preparing Rotis :- First we need to make a soft dough mixing Whole wheat flour, All purpose flour, oil and salt to taste. Keep this dough aside covered for 15 minutes
  2. After 15 minutes take this dough and knead for 1 minute.
  3. Prepare small balls from this dough, prepare thin Rotis, and cook lightly as shown in picture .
  4. Now keep them aside.
  5. Now for preparing filling content:-
  6. Chopped veggies, paneer, funfoods spread and Funfoods pasta and pizza sauce
  7. Heat oil and butter in a pan.Add onion, and mix it.After 2 minutes, add carrot,capsicum,cabbage and tomato upon it.
  8. Simmer the gas and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
  9. Now add paneer into it..Mix it well.
  10. Add salt , green chilly sauce , Funfoods carrot and cucumber spread , Funfoods pizza and pasta sauce, red chilli powder.Mix it well. Allow it to cook for 3 minutes
  11. Finally add green coriander leaves and mix again.
  12. Your Filling content is ready.
  13. For Assembling the Frankie:-
  14. First of all put some butter on non stick Tava and cook pre-prepared Roti again till light brown both the sides.
  15. Now place the prepared filling in middle of the roti
  16. Then put some chopped onions on it.And finally sprinkle some grated cheese upon it as shown in picture.
  17. Now roll it slowly. pack one side of this roll by covering it's edges.Cover it with aluminium foil as shown in picture.
  18. Your cheesy panner-o-veg Frankie is ready to serve.
  19. Serve it with tomato ketchup.
