ABOUT Healthy brown sandwiches RECIPE

When in hurry, trust on sandwich. A sandwich can either be layered or can be open. It can be power packed with nutritional ingredients and can be easily used for packing. on vegetarian may choose boiled eggs, roasted chicken, tuna and more. I am presenting a vegetarian version with homemade healthy dip.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onions(chopped): 2nos.
  2. Mixed bellpeppers(chopped): 1cup
  3. Mushrooms(sliced): 150 grams
  4. 150 grams Cabbage (chopped):
  5. 100grams Cottage cheese(chopped)
  6. Carrot :1 (grated)
  7. Brown bread:12-14 slices
  8. Hung yoghurt: 2tblspn
  9. Cottage cheese: 100grams (for spread)
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Pepper 1 tsp
  12. Garlic powder 1tsp
  13. Italian herbs seasoning 1tsp
  14. Mazrella cheese 1tbspn (grated)


  1. Saute all vegetables in 1tsp oil on high flame for 2 minutes
  2. Keep it aside and let it cool.
  3. Blend hung yoghurt and cottage cheese with mint.
  4. Mix all vegetables with the spread and add salt and pepper and seasonings just before grilling the sandwiches.
  5. Non vegetarians may add boiled egg or shredded grilled chicken. Serve hot with choice of dip.
