Lipsmacking and scrumptious party starters served with butter tossed herb veggies (beans and carrot) along with cucumber, ring onions and lemon slices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Quail - 4 whole 
  2. Oil - ½ cup 
  3. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp 
  4. Turmeric powder - ½ tsp 
  5. Red Chilly powder - 1 tbsp 
  6. Pepper powder - 1 tsp 
  7. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp 
  8. Roasted coriander powder - 2 tsp 
  9. Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp 
  10. Curd - 2 tbsp 
  11. Gram flour - 1 tbsp 
  12. Salt to taste 
  13. Cucumber slices, onion rings and lemon slices to serve
  14. For tossed veggies:
  15. Beans and carrot as required  Butter - 1 tbsp 
  16. Mixed herbs to season
  17. Chilly flakes to season 
  18. Pepper to season 


  1. Take the whole quail and make a slash on it. 
  2. Take all the ingredients except oil in a mixing bowl, add few drops of water and make a smooth paste. 
  3. Apply this paste all over the quail and keep it aside for sometime. The longer the marinate the better. 
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. When the oil is hot, reduce the heat and drop the quail and fry on low-medium heat till golden brown approximately 12-15 mins. 
  5. For butter tossed herb veggies, add butter in a pan and add the veggies along with the other ingredients and toss them on high for 5-7 mins.
