An easy brunch recipe that can be made in few minutes which can be served even during dinner parties.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boneless chicken - 200 gm
  2. Cooked Basmati Rice - 1 cup
  3. Onion (chopped) - 2
  4. Curd - 4 tbsp
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  6. Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  7. Red chilly powder - 2 tsp
  8. Bay leaf - 1
  9. Coriander leaves (chopped) - handful
  10. Refined oil/ghee
  11. Salt


  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces. Marinate it with ginger garlic paste, red chilly powder, garam masala powder, curd and salt, for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat a heavy bottomed wok, add some ghee/refined oil.
  3. Once heated, add the bay leaf followed by chopped onion.
  4. As the onions turn golden brown, add the marinated chicken and stir.
  5. Lower the flame and cook the chicken with lid on with occasional stirring.
  6. Once the chicken is almost cooked, add the coriander leaves.
  7. Stir and once the masala is almost dry, add the cooked basmati rice. Give it a nice mix.
  8. Put the lid on once more, so that the rice soaks up all the flavour. Give it a last stir and serve.
