This Bukhari Pulao is a lovely flavoursome dish a lovely balance of spiciness of spices & some sweetness of carrot. A must try recipe if you are a biryani lover.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gms Rice
  2. 500 gms Boneless Chicken
  3. 3 onions
  4. 3 tomatoes
  5. 2 potatoes
  6. 1 fried potato
  7. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  8. Salt, chilly, garam masala, raisins, cashew & ghee.


  1. In a pan fry onions till brown. Add jeera, tomatoes, grated carrot, ginger & garlic paste. Mix well & cook fr sometime.
  2. Now add Chicken, Potaoes, salt, red chilly pwdr, green chillies & garam masala pwdr.
  3. Add little water if required. When chicken in half cooked add rice & water as required.When water dries, Garnish with fried potatoes corriander leaves, birista & fry raisins & cashew in ghee.
  4. Keep on dum/ slow cooking for 15 minutes. Serve hot with chopped onions & green chilly in sweet imli chutney.
