Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan/Chikpea flour - 2cups
  2. Salt - as per taste
  3. Sugar - 2tablespoon
  4. Oil - 3tablespoon
  5. Haldi powder - 1/2tablespoon
  6. Eno - 1tablespoon
  7. Ginger - 1/2tablespoon grated
  8. Mustard seeds - 1tablespoon
  9. curry leaves
  10. Cilantro - For garnishing
  11. Green Chillies - 2
  12. Water - 3/4cup+1/2cup
  13. Lemon juice - 1tablespoon

Instructions

  1. In a bowl put besan add salt,1/2tablespoon oil,turmeric powder,grated ginger,lemon juice & 3/4cup water mix it well & keep it aside for 30minutes.
  2. Make sure that there are no lumps.
  3. Apply 1/2 tablespoon oil to a aluminium tray.
  4. Remove vessel of cooker pour some water in it & preheat for 10minutes.
  5. After 30minutes add eno to the mixture & mix it well.
  6. Pour the mixture in the aluminium tray & put it in the cooker cover it with lid & let it cook for about 20-25minutes.
  7. Then add curry leaves,green chillies, 2tablespoon sugar & 1/2cup water bring it to a boil.
  8. Once the dhokla is steamed cut it & pour the tadka over it.
  9. Garnish it with some cilantro & serve it hot.
