Instant dhokla that requires no fermentation

Besan dhokla

Ingredients to make Besan dhokla

  • For dhokla: 2 cup besan of good quality
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Pinch of haldi,
  • 1tsp sugar,
  • 1/2 tsp green chili
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Juice of half lemon
  • One satchet eno
  • For tadka : 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp white til or sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp black mustard seeds or sarson
  • 1/2 tsp green chili
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 Glass water with one lemon juice
  • Few curry leaves
  • For garnish: 1 tsp desicated coconut,
  • 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves

How to make Besan dhokla

  1. For dhokla mix all ingredients and at last mix eno .
  2. Then pour the batter in greased tin
  3. Put in steamer. Cook for 20 min
  4. Meanwhile prepare tadka: for that heat oil
  5. To it add til,sarson, Kari patta, green chili, salt, sugar and lemon water
  6. Boil it for 2-3 min
  7. Then pour it on dhokla .let it rest for 10 min
  8. Finally garnish with desicated coconut and coriander leaves. Enjoy

My Tip:

Use good quality of besan
