Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Moong dhuli dal/ split and husked green lentils
  2. 1/2 cup masoor dal/split and husked red lentils
  3. 2-3 chopped green chillies
  4. 1 inch ginger piece grated
  5. 1 tsp carom seeds
  6. 1 tsp dry mango powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 1 tsp kasoori methi
  9. 1 onion chopped
  10. 1 Tomato chopped
  11. 2-3 carrots grated


  1. Soak both dals for 1 hour in water.
  2. Drain and grind to a fine paste with green chillies and ginger.
  3. Add salt, amchur, carom seeds to the batter and also add kasoori methi.
  4. Now divide the batter in 3 parts.
  5. To one part add only half quantity of grated carrot
  6. And make kofte/fritters of carrot by deep frying in oil.
  7. From second part I made bread pakora by deep frying bread coated with batter.
  8. From third part of batter make chilas by adding rest of carrots,onions and tomatoes.
  9. Spread the batter on hot griddle and apply oil and flip. Cook from both sides till crisp.
  10. Enjoy 3 ka tadka with sauce...It came out delicious... Thank you
