Ingredients to make Stuffed besan karela

  • For besan ke karela
  • besan-1 cup
  • curd-2cup
  • salt to taste
  • haldi powder-1/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder-1/4 Tsp
  • For stuffing
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala-1/4 tsp
  • hing-a pinch
  • cumin seeds_1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice or raw mango powder-1/4 tsp
  • red chilli dry -1
  • coriander powder-1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Crushed Groundnut -1 tbsp
  • sugar-1 tsp
  • 1 tbsp coriander chopped
  • coconut grated_1 tbsp
  • red chilli powder-1/4 TSP

How to make Stuffed besan karela

  1. Mix besan, curd,salt,red chilli Powder,haldi powder,ginger paste in a bowl
  2. Mix well
  3. In cooker pour 1 glass water
  4. Place ring or stand in cooker
  5. Put the bowl in cooker
  6. Cover lid
  7. Take 7 whistles
  8. Open lid
  9. Remove water from Bowl if any
  10. Mix well
  11. The batter of besan should be tight
  12. Now grease plate and your palm with oil
  13. Make rolls of besan and with the help of your palms or on rolling on plate give shape
  14. Like this
  15. Do not cool batter
  16. Make all the kerelas,while the batter warm
  17. When all are ready
  18. Let them cool for some time
  19. Time to make filling
  20. Except oil,mustard seed ,cumin seed,mix all the ingredients in a jar
  21. Cut all besan kerela to fill the mixture
  22. Fill 1 tbsp in each karela
  23. Now heat oil in a pan
  24. Pour cumin seeds,mustard seeds,hing
  25. Now add sesame seeds
  26. Mix gently all kerelas in kadahi or pan
  27. Add remaining filling
  28. Mix gently
  29. Now remove kerelas from kadahi
  30. Garnish with grated coconut and coriender
  31. Serve hot with sauce and chutney
