ABOUT Groundnut Chutney RECIPE

Tasty chutney goes along well with dosa, idli. If you are bored of regular coconut chutney and kopra chutney try this.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 cup groundnut
  2. 1/2 cup grated Coconut
  3. 5 byadagi red chilli
  4. salt as per taste
  5. Little tamarind
  6. 2 tablespoon Kadle pappu / bengal gram roasted
  7. 1/2 teaspoon jeera
  8. 6 garlic pod
  9. For Tempering:
  10. 1/2 teaspoon oil
  11. Little Mustard
  12. few curry leaves


  1. Heat a pan on medium flame and add groundnut and fry dry untill it crackles.
  2. Now to the same pan add grated coconut and fry till coconut try it's color.
  3. Once cooled transfer it to the jar. Add kadle pappu / Bengal gram roasted.
  4. In a pan add little oil and once it's heated, add red chillies and fry. Add it to the jar.
  5. Add jeera
  6. Add garlic
  7. Add salt and tamarind. Grind it into a fine paste.
  8. In a pan add oil. Once hot, add mustard. When it crackles add curry leaves and fry.
  9. Add this tempering to the prepared chutney and serve.
