Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 1. For fish steak
  2. Pomfret fish fillet 5 inch long
  3. Salt 1/2 tspn
  4. Black pepper powder 1/2 tspn
  5. Butter 1/2 tbspn
  6. 2. For white sauce
  7. butter 1 tbspn
  8. Maida/ all purpose flour 1 tbspn
  9. Milk 1/2 cup
  10. Dried herbs 1 tspn
  11. 3. For Steamed vegetables
  12. Red and yellow bell peppers 1/2 cup
  13. French beans 1/2 cup
  14. Salt and pepper ine small pinch
  15. 4. For mashed potato
  16. Potato one medium
  17. Butter 1 tspn
  18. Salt and pepper one small pinch
  19. Fresh cream 1 tbspn
  20. 5. For garlic bread
  21. White bread 1 slice
  22. Butter 1 tspn
  23. Dried herbs one small pinch
  24. Garlic 1 clove

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop potato and add to boiling water
  2. On another stove keep vegetables for steaming
  3. Once potato is cooked and vegetables are 3/4 th done remove both from heat
  4. Mash potato along with butter, salt and pepper
  5. Add fresh cream and beat mashed potato well to a creamy consistency and keep aside
  6. Marinate fish fillet with salt, pepper and lemon juice
  7. In a grill pan heat butter and add fish fillet
  8. Grill fish from both sides, 3 minutes on each side and keep aside
  9. Heat a non stick pan, add butter and maida and keep stirring continuously for a minute
  10. Slowly add the milk and keep stirring till mixture thickens to a sauce consistency
  11. Add dried herbs and remove from heat
  12. Plate the grilled fish in the middle of serving plate and pour white sauce to cover it
  13. Place mashed potato and steamed vegetables on serving plate
  14. Cut sides of bread slice and toast it
  15. Apply butter on hot toast and rub chopped clove of garlic on it and remove garlic pieces from bread
  16. Sprinkle dried herbs on garlic bread and cut it into half and serve along with rest of the platter
