ABOUT Karela Dryfruit Namkin Mix - Chevda RECIPE

A very healthy, delicious and crispy namkin mix made from karela and dryfruits which are perfect for your teatime and evening crave.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bitter gourd or karela 500 gms
  2. Cashew 1/2 cup
  3. almond 1/2 cup
  4. Raisins 1/2 Cup
  5. Rosted peanuts 1/2 cup
  6. Dry coconut slices 1/2 cup
  7. Geen chilli chopped 7-8
  8. Curry leaves 1/2 cup
  9. Sesame seeds 2tbsp
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Salt 2 pinch (for add in deep fry)
  12. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  13. Tumeric powder 1/8 tsp
  14. Dhaniya jeera powder 2 tbsp
  15. Sugar 2 tbsp (or as your taste)
  16. Garam masala 1 tsp
  17. oil for deep fry

Instructions

  1. Wash the bitter gourd and remove skin of it.
  2. Now take a slicer and slice it with thin like jullians.
  3. Take a deep kadai add oil for deep fry and keep on flame.
  4. When oil is enough hot add curry leaves and fry it then shift into another bowl.
  5. Then add cashews, almond, penuts, raisins, coconut slices and green chilli one by one for deep fry and shift it in bowl.
  6. Now add some karela jullians into oil for fry.
  7. Be careful on this level when u adding karela jullians into the hot oil.
  8. Fry it till it turn little crispy and little golden in colour.
  9. When it done shift it in another separate bowl or paper napkin.
  10. I did this karela fries in 3 batches on semi high flame.
  11. When all batches done then will fry all aging in hot oil for little more crispy .
  12. This time add little salt into oil and fry for 4 to 5 minute.
  13. Now it is done and shift it in a bowl.
  14. For masala :- Take a large plate or bowl add friend dryfruits add karela crisps and mix it.
  15. Now add turmeric powder, dhaniya jeera powder, sesame seeds, little salt to taste, red chilli powder, garam masala and sugar powder .
  16. Now give a quick mix to the mixture and check the seasoning.
  17. Your karela dryfruit namkin mix is ready to serve.
  18. Enjoy this healthy and delicious crispy instant chevda mix with tea and coffee.
  19. You can store it in airtight container for a 15 days.
