Ingredients to make Mango garbhini appam

  • wheat flour(1.5 cup)
  • salt- a pinch
  • mango- 1
  • Grated coconut- 1/2 cup
  • sugar(optional, I've not added)

How to make Mango garbhini appam

  1. Add salt and water to the wheat flour and beat it till u get the consistency of dosa batter.
  2. Chop mango into very small pieces. You can also process them in your food processor. Just make sure it doesn't get too pulpy.
  3. Add coconut and sugar(if adding) to these mangoes. Mix well.
  4. Put the dosa pan on the stove and grease it with a little ghee. (Use a tissue paper if you are avoiding ghee/oil)
  5. Cook both sides by flipping. Don't overcook (else the crepe will turn crispy). We want it soft, so that it can b stuffed.
  6. Now generously fill in the dosa with mango coconut mix. Make sure the diameter of the stuffing is a little less than that of dosa.
  7. Fold the dosa. Cook on both sides for a little. Serve hot !! :)
