If you have Craving for cake and fasting season is on then this cake is definitely a try. I found this recipie on a veggie kannada cookery site quite long time ago and made a note to try it during festive season...well I finally made it today and it was quite yummy..

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cups roasted Sabudana
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. 1/4 cup butter
  4. 2 large ripe banana
  5. Nuts
  6. 2tsp Baking powder
  7. 1/4cup milk
  8. 1tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Dry roast sabudana on medium flame for 10 mins. Grind and powder it like a flour
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degree
  3. Sift baking powder and sabudana flour. Add Cinnamon powder and mix well
  4. In a bowl beat butter sugar milk and banana to form a puree
  5. Add the banana mixture to the dry ingredients. Add nuts . Mix and blend it well to form a pouring consistency
  6. Pour the batter in greased cake tin and bake it for 20 -30 mins. Check if the cake is done by inserting a toothpick in the centre if it comes clean it's done else cook it for some more time until it's done
  7. Cool off the cake completely, decorate it the way you like and serve
