A layered Jackfruit and sabudana dessert, made with almond milk and coconut.

Jackfruit Nd Sabudana/Sago layered dessert

Ingredients to make Jackfruit Nd Sabudana/Sago layered dessert

  • 75 gms Jackfruit, fresh
  • 25 gms sabudana/sago
  • 15 gms white sugar
  • 1/2 cup almond milk + more for adjustment if needed
  • 1 tsp Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon fresh coconut grated

How to make Jackfruit Nd Sabudana/Sago layered dessert

  1. Soak sabudana in water for 15 minutes. Drain and discard the water
  2. Boil almond milk. 
  3. When it comes to a rolling boil, add the drained sabudana and white sugar.  
  4. Cook for about 10 minutes or until they become transparent.  Add some water if it becomes too thick. 
  5. Let it cool.
  6. In the meantime, put the jackfruit in a blender and blend until creamy.  Set aside.
  7. Spoon some sabudana in a glass.  Next, layer some jackfruit, then sabudana again.
  8. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
  9. Before serving, top with a teaspoon of brown sugar and a teaspoon of grated coconut.
