ABOUT Cheesy potato dosa bonda RECIPE

Cheesy potato dosa bonda is a traditonal potato bonda but i have done a little twist in it . Firstly i stuffed mozzerella cheese in it and another is i made it with a mix of dosa batter and gram flour .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1cup chik pea flour
  2. 1/2cup dosa batter
  3. 1/2teaspoon turmeric powder
  4. 1/2teaspoon red chilli powder
  5. Salt to taste
  6. For stuffing
  7. 4 Boiled and mashed potato
  8. 5o gram mozzerela cheese cut into 1/2inch pieces
  9. 1/2teasspoon turmeric powder
  10. 1/2teaspoon red chilli powder
  11. 1/2teaspoon roastedcumin powder
  12. 1/2teaspoon amchoor
  13. 2teaspoon oil
  14. 1 teaspoon masturd seeds
  15. 10 curry leaves
  16. Salt to taste
  17. 1pinch assafotida
  18. 1chopped onion
  19. 2 Chopped Green chillies
  20. 1teaspoon chopped ginger
  21. 1teaspoon chopped corriander leaves
  22. oil to fry

Instructions

  1. Take a Big bowl and mix gram flour and dosa batter along with salt turmeric powder, a little water in it and make a smooth paste. Whisk it well still light and fluffy .keep aside
  2. Heat oil in a wok .add mustard seed in it and allow it to Crackle.stur un the onion saute fir a couple of minutes add ginger chillies ,asafetida ,turmeric ,red chilli powder ,salt ,cumin powder and amchor powder in it and saute fir a minute .
  3. Now add mashed potatoes in it .And saute for couple of minutes.
  4. Allow the potato mixture to cool down and add chopped corriander leaves in it .
  5. Make small balls with potato .And flatten it on the palm of your handand place a piece of mozzarella cheese in the center of ball.and cover it and make round balls and keep aside .
  6. Take a wok heat oil in it and bring it to medium flame .
  7. Dip and coat each cheese stuffed ball in the mix batter of gram flour and dosa batter .
  8. Fry them at medium heat until golden colour .
  9. Drain it on kitchen towel to drain out excess oil.
  10. Serve cheesy potato dosa bonda with any spicy chutney of your choice along with a cup of hot tea.
