Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bhindi 200 grams
  2. Coconut paste 150 grams
  3. Mustard 10 grams
  4. Curry leaves 10-15 grams
  5. Red chilli powder 5 grams
  6. Turmeric powder 5 grams
  7. Green chilli paste 10 grams
  8. Cinnamon powder 5-10 grams
  9. Chopped coriander 20 grams
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Oil for deep frying bhindi 200ml
  12. Oil 20-30 grams
  13. Grated coconut 30 grams


  1. Wash the bhindis and pat dry it
  2. Cut the head and slit in the middle of the bhindis
  3. Deep fry the bhindis and keep it aside
  4. In a kadhai add oil 200 grams, mustard seed, curry leaves,red chilli powder,turmeric powder and stir for few minutes until the colour changes to yellowish brown
  5. Add coconut paste and stir well
  6. Add salt and a little bit of sugar
  7. Add fried bhindis and stir for 10 minutes
  8. Add chopped coriander leaves and cinnamon powder and stir well
  9. Switch off the flame and garnish with grated coconuts..
