Ingredients to make Tutti frutti rava cake

  • semolina (fine one) 1 cup
  • Maida1/4 cup
  • Oil (butter can also be used) 1/2 cup
  • Milk1 cup
  • yogurt 1/4 cup
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • Milkmaid 1/4 tin
  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  • Tutti frutti 2 tablespoon
  • saffron strands(as per requirement)
  • Pinch of salt

How to make Tutti frutti rava cake

  1. Take oil, sugar, milk, yogurt,saffron,milkmaid and blend it to a smooth consistency.
  2. Sieve flour, semolina, baking powder and baking soda,salt and mix with the above prepared consistency.
  3. Allow to soak for 30 mins. So that the semolina soaks the excess water to give a proper consistency.
  4. Finally, put the vanilla essence and tutti tutti into the batter.
  5. Preheat the oven at 180 degree centigrade
  6. Take a baking tray grease with oil and sprinkle maida all over.
  7. Pour the batter into the tray and tap it. Top again with tutti frutti.
  8. Bake at 180 degree for 40- 45 minutes till a toothpick comes out clean
  9. Let the cake cool completely, then cut and serve.

My Tip:

For this cake use fine semolina which is easily available in store else blend it in a mixture.
