Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Poori : Refined flour 1 cup
  2. Wheat flour 1 cup
  3. Half teaspoon caraway seeds
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Oil 1 tablespoon
  6. Water to make soft dough
  7. For the Sabji : Potatoes 4 medium size
  8. Curd 100 grams
  9. Curry leaves a few
  10. Onion one finely sliced
  11. Green chillies 2 chopped
  12. Ginger and garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon each
  13. Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  14. Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  15. Oil 2 tablespoons
  16. Salt to taste.


  1. Mix all ingredients for the poori well except water. Gradually add water and make a soft dough. Keep aside covered for at least half an hour.
  2. Roll out the poori and deep fry.
  3. For the sabji Boil the potatoes for 10 minutes.
  4. Heat oil add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and curry leaves one by one.
  5. Fry sliced onions for two minutes and chopped green chillies, add ginger & garlic paste, chilly powder, turmeric powder mix well let it cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Whip the curd and add to the masala and mix well.
  7. Drain, peel and roughly chop the potatoes and add to the masala mix well; add 1/ 2 cup water cover and cook for 5 more minutes.
  8. Serve both the items together.
