Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Bottle gourd (ghiya)1 kg
  2. Sugar 500 grams
  3. Full cream milk1500 ml
  4. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Kesar a pinch
  6. Nuts 1 cup
  7. Sesame seeds
  8. Desi ghee 2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Wash bottle gourd . Peel it and grate all the pieces of bottle gourd.
  2. Soak kesar in milk
  3. Put all grated bottle gourd and cardamom powder in a pressure cooker and wait for 4 whistle on high flame
  4. Open the lid and add kesar, milk, sugar ,Desi ghee and again wait for 6-7 whistle on medium flame
  5. When the pressure cooker steam settles add half the nuts and saute the mixture on high flame for 15 minutes and then saute the mixture on medium flame . When it starts leaving the sides of the pressure cooker and look like halwa, switch off the flame. Let it cool.
  6. Spred the mixture in flatten tray and cut into pieces and sprinkle some nuts on it.
