ABOUT SINFUL BAKLAVA RECIPE

A truly sinful dessert. Too tasty and latest entry in indian cuisine from global menu. Enjoy at least once without guilt.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Dough....
  2. maida....400 grams
  3. Amul butter....50 grams
  4. salt....1 teaspoon
  5. Chilled water.....175 ml
  6. cornflour.....for dusting
  7. sugar...10 grams
  8. FILLING...........
  9. Crushed pista....150 grams
  10. Crushed......cashew...150 grams
  11. honey.....100 grams
  12. Milkmaid....100 grams
  13. sugar syrup....
  14. sugar....1/2 kg
  15. water....500 ml
  16. Black cardamom.... 3
  17. bay leaf....3
  18. ghee...100 grams
  19. Garnish.........
  20. rose petals

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take chilled water, salt and sugar. Mix till sugar dissolves.
  2. Now add to it maida and butter. Start kneading to make a tight dough.
  3. Beat the dough to remove trapped air. Cover it with moist cloth.
  4. To make filling , mix cashew, pista , honey and milkmaid.
  5. To make sugar syrup, boil water, sugar,black cardamom and bay leaf. Make 2 string syrup.
  6. Now make balls of dough. Roll into thin rectangular rotis.
  7. Take a rectangular baking tray. Place one roti on it. Brush butter on it. Place another roti. Brush butter on it. Place third roti.
  8. Now spread layer of dry fruit mix. Again repeat three layers of roti as done before.
  9. Trim the sides with knife.Make cut marks in squares. After baking cutting will not be possible.
  10. Spray water on it.
  11. Preheat oven on 200 degree for 10 minutes.
  12. Bake for 25 minutes.
  13. Now take the tray out. Pour ghee on it. Again bake for 10 minutes at 190 degree.Drain excess ghee.
  14. After baking take it out. Pour sugar syrup on it. Leave it for 15 minutes. Drain excess syrup.Garnish with rose petals and pista powder.
  15. Refrigerate . Yummy sinful baklava is ready to rock.
