ABOUT Dal pakodi RECIPE

It's special food in Mumbai. Hot and protein rich Moong dal pakodi is quick and healthy snacks for kids. Pakodi or ponako is a fried snack (fritter).

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup Moong dal
  2. 1 chopped onion
  3. 1 inch ginger
  4. 1 tsp salt
  5. ½ tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1 tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
  7. Refined oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Let Moong dal rest in water for 5-6 hours.
  2. Then drain the water.
  3. Grind the dal, onion, ginger in grinder mixer.
  4. Add salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin seeds powder and mix it well.
  5. Now take pan put refined oil heat it.
  6. After this fry small pakodi.
  7. Pakodi turns into golden colour remove from oil on napkin.
  8. Serve hot with green dip.
