Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cashewnuts 100gm
  2. Milk powder 5 tsp
  3. Sugar half cup
  4. Cardamom powder 2tsp
  5. Saffron a pinch


  1. First take 100 gm cashewnuts and grind it thoroughly
  2. Now add milk powder to the powdered cashew.
  3. In the meantime boil 1 cup water in a pan and add sugar. Boil it to get the thread like consistency. Add cardamom powder and saffron.
  4. Now after 30 mins when syrup is thicker add powdered cashew and rest ingredients. Saute and stir fry as thoroughly you can for 15 to 20 mins.
  5. Add ghee 3tsp and keep stir frying till it forms a dough.
  6. Knead the dough thoroughly while its hot. This ensures the kaju burfi is smooth in texture.
  7. Now grease ghee on a pan. Spread the dough evenly and cool it in refrigerator.
  8. After 1 hr cut evenly in diamond shape and garnish with nuts and serve.
