ABOUT Curry Leaves Powder RECIPE

Curry leaves powder is a classic south Indian recipe used to have with hot plain rice mixed with ghee or gingely oil. This powder helps for digestion and hair growth.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Curry leaves 1/2 cup
  2. 1 tsp Urad dal
  3. 1 tsp Toor Dal
  4. Dry red chilies - 4
  5. Hing(asafoetida) 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil 2 drops


  1. Add two drops of oil in a pan and lightly roast curry leaves .Keep aside.
  2. Add rest of the ingredients in the same pan and roast for few minutes on low heat till color changes.
  3. Grind Curry leaves with salt
  4. Add rest of the fried ingredients to the grounded curry leaves and grind to fine powder.
  5. Allow to cool and store the curry leaf powder in an airtight container.
  6. Serve Curry leaves powder with hot rice. This powder can also be added to sambar/paratha's for additional flavor
