methi mutter malai is subzi which we find in every restaurant,its North Indian cuisen which is rich and creamy in texture and with lovely taste,it's very healthy , we can eat with any type of indian bread which can be naan ,missi roti ,kulcha or plain roti ,I often make this subzi for my kiddos,it takes very less time to make ,so come we will start making

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cashews 10-11 soaked in 1/4 cup warm milk
  2. 1 onion finely chopped
  3. 6-7 crushed garlic pods
  4. 2 green chili crushed
  5. salt to taste
  6. 1/2 tsp of sugar
  7. 1 cup methi leaves finely chopped
  8. 1 cup green peas/matar boiled
  9. 1/2 cup malai
  10. 1/2 cup milk
  11. 1 tsp ghee
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  1. Grind cashews to smooth paste and keep it aside
  2. Melt ghee in a pan and splutter cumin seeds
  3. Add green chili and garlic , saute until raw aroma goes away
  4. Add onions and saute until translucent
  5. Add cashews paste and mix well
  6. Add malai and milk. Simmer and cook for 7-8 seconds. Add salt and mix well
  7. Add sugar , methi leaves and cook for 2-3 minutes
  8. Add green peas m cover and cook for 5 minutes
  9. Serve hot with roti or pulao
