Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Raw rice 1 cup
  2. Moong dal 1/2 cup
  3. Ghee 4 tablespoon
  4. Peanuts 1 /2 cup
  5. water 4 cups
  6. Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  7. 1/8 tsp Hing (optional)
  8. Pepper 2 tablespoon
  9. Jeera 1 tablespoon
  10. 10-12 Curry leaves
  11. Salt as required

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and moong dal for 30 min.
  2. In pressure cooker add soaked rice ,dal,water,hing,turmeric powder,salt. Mix well
  3. Cook for 4 - 5 whistles.
  4. In pan , heat ghee and splutter jeera. Add pepper,peanuts,curry leaves and fry for 3 min. Switch off
  5. Add pongal and mix well. Serve hot
