Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Parwal -200 gm
  2. Powdered sugar 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar -1 cup
  4. Milk -2 tsp
  5. Khoya 1 cup
  6. Milk powder -2 tsp
  7. Cardamom powder -1 tsp
  8. Chopped almond and pistachios - as required
  9. Water as required


  1. Wash parwal. Peel, slit and de-seed with knife. Boil water and add parwal. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  2. In separate pan, heat water and sugar. Cook until one string consistency. Add milk and mix
  3. Remove parwal from hot water and add it in Sugar syrup for 10-15 minutes.
  4. For stuffing, add khoya in a pan and stir till light brown. Transfer it in another bowl. Add powdered sugar, Cardamom powder, Milk powder and chopped nuts and mix well.
  5. Remove parwal from syrup and cool lightly. Stuff the parwal with the khoya mixture. Decorate with nuts and silver foil and serve

I have prepared many spicy dishes with parwal but haven't tried making sweets with parwals.
