Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups Green Moong dal soaked for 4 hours
  2. Green chilies 4
  3. Ginger 1/2 inch
  4. Fresh coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  5. salt as per taste
  6. hing 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Eno 1 tablespoon
  8. Water 1 tablespoon
  9. 4 cups water for steaming
  10. For Tempering:-
  11. oil 1/2 tablespoon
  12. Mustard and Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon each
  13. Curry leaves 7-8
  14. Red chilies 2
  15. 1/4 cup Grated coconut for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Boil water for steaming
  2. Blend moong dal, fresh coriander, green chilies, ginger, salt to make a smooth batter
  3. Add 1/2 tsp hing to batter and mix well,
  4. Add Eno , 1 tbsp water and mix well
  5. Pour the prepared batter into greased dish
  6. Place dish in steamer for 15 mins over medium heat until done
  7. In a small pan heat 1 tbsp oil , splutter mustard and cumin seeds . Add curry leaves, red chilies, fry for 2 mins
  8. Slice dhoklas, pour the seasoning over dhoklas
  9. Sprinkle fresh grated coconut on top and serve
