Dill leaves Halubai is very healthy, tastier sweet dish. I learnt this recipe from my grandmother.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Dill leaves - finely chopped-1 bunch
  2. Rice 1 cup
  3. Jaggery -grated -2 cups
  4. Grated Coconut 2 tbsp
  5. Water 5 cups
  6. Ghee 2 tbsp
  7. Cardamom powder 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 45 minutes - 1 hour. Drain excess water
  2. Grind rice with adequate water to form smooth paste. Add finely chopped dill leaves and grated coconut and grind again to form smooth paste
  3. Add water to paste to form smooth batter
  4. Melt jaggery in water, sieve for any impurities
  5. Add jaggery to batter and mix well. Cook batter well until it starts leaving the sides of the pan by continuous stirring. Sprinkle cardamom powder. Mix well.
  6. Pour mixture on to a greased plate. Spread it evenly. Allow to set . Slice Halwa in desired shape
