Fish marinated in kabab mix , shallow fried and tossed in spiced onions

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fish (Pomfret) 1/2 kg
  2. Chili powder 1 tsp
  3. Bafat powder 3 tsp
  4. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  7. Pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Cumin Powder 1/2 Tsp
  9. Juice of 1 lemon
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Rice flour 3 tsp
  12. Onion 3, thinly sliced
  13. Green chili 1, finely chopped
  14. Soya Sauce 1 Tbsp
  15. Tomato 1/2, finely chopped


  1. In a bowl, mix all spice powders, lemon juice, salt and rice flour. Marinate the fish with the mixture and rest for 15 minutes
  2. Shallow fry the fish and keep it aside
  3. Heat oil in a pan, stir fry onions, green chili for 3 minutes. Add tomatoes and saute until tender
  4. Add soya sauce and fish. Gently mix without breaking fish. Cook for few seconds
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve warm
