Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Palak puree
  2. 200 g paneer, cubed
  3. 1/2 cup fresh cream
  4. 2 medium sized onion
  5. Green chili 2-3 , chopped
  6. 1/2 cup tomato puree
  7. 2 tbsp butter
  8. 1 tbsp ginger paste
  9. 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  10. 3 cardamom
  11. Red chili powder 1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. cinnamon 2 sticks - 1 inch
  14. 3 cloves
  15. 1 tsp garam masala

Instructions

  1. Grind spinach leaves to make a smooth paste
  2. Heat oil in a wok, add butter and whole spices, mix well
  3. Add the chopped onion and fry till golden brown. Add green chilies and ginger paste.
  4. Now add tomato puree and cook until oil separates
  5. Add spinach and salt. Mix well. Saute for 5-6 minutes
  6. Add 1 cup of water and bring to boil
  7. Add paneer cubes and cook for 2 minutes. Garnish with cream
  8. Palak paneer is ready for serving with Paratha, naan or roti.
