Green gram spinach is very tasty as well as healthy dish for all.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Green grams, washed, soaked
  2. Onion 1 chopped
  3. Ginger- garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  4. Green chilies 2 chopped
  5. Spinach 400 gram chopped
  6. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. Oil 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook green gram dal with 11/2 cups of water for 2 whistles over medium heat.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin, ginger- garlic paste , green chilies. Stir and cook it for 1 minute.
  3. Add onions , Salt.mix well. Saute until onions are golden brown
  4. Add turmeric and red chili powder. Saute for a minute
  5. Add chopped spinach.Mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Add cooked dal and 1 cup of water. Mix well. Bring to boil
  7. Simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Finally add lemon juice and mix
  9. Serve hot with dollop of butter
