ABOUT Vitamin Leaves Rasam RECIPE

Chekurmanis, Multi vitamin plant. All vitamins available in this except vitamin D. It is small bushi tree. Its rasam is very tasty and simple. It's my innovative we like it too much. We can drink this rasam as juice also.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Vitamin leaves 5-6 string
  2. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Jaggery powder 1 tsp (optional)
  5. Lemon juice 1.5 tsp
  6. Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  8. 1/2 tsp ghee
  9. Water 4 cups
  10. For seasoning - 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  11. 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  12. 1 red dry chili
  13. 1/2 tsp ghee
  14. 8-10 curry leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan. Add fresh Vitamin leaves, pepper powder, turmeric powder and stir fry until leaves wilt
  2. Cool mixture and grind to smooth paste by adding little water.
  3. Add green paste to a pan with jaggery, salt and adequate water. Boil over high heat
  4. Heat ghee in a pan, splutter cumin and mustard seeds. Add dry red chili and curry leaves. Mix for few seconds
  5. Add seasoning to Rasam with lemon juice and stir well. Serve warm with hot rice and papad.
