Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Ilish - 3 pieces
  2. Potato - 2, each cut into 4 pieces
  3. Tomato - 1.5, chopped
  4. Begun/eggplant - 1, cut into thick slices
  5. Nigella seeds - 1/2 tsp
  6. Green chili - 10-12, slit
  7. Sugar - 1/4 tsp
  8. Cumin powder - 1.5 tsp
  9. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  11. 2 tbsp mustard oil + additional for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan, shallow fry fishes and keep it aside
  2. In same pan, shallow fry eggplant and keep it aside
  3. Heat oil in separate pan. Add nigella seeds, green chili and mix for few seconds
  4. Add potatoes, and stir fry until golden brown
  5. Add tomatoes, salt and cook till mushy
  6. Add cumin, coriander, turmeric powder, adequate water and cook for 2-3 min
  7. Add fried fish, begun, water if required and mix well.
  8. Add sugar, mix well. Cover and cook for 10-12 min. Serve hot with rice
